AEVECAR, the Spanish Association of Retail Sellers of Fuels and Fuels with implantation throughout Spain, has joined CEOE as a new member. This integration occurs at a particularly delicate time for the service station sector throughout Spain after the application of the state of alarm that has meant the confinement of the Spanish for 99 days, since last March 15, 2020.
The low mobility of citizens and transport companies has meant for the employers and workers of gas stations in Spain a very hard blow that has been tried to mitigate with the late application of minimum services.
The President of AEVECAR, Alejandro Ripoll, has pointed out the importance of joining CEOE: “Without a doubt, the incorporation of AEVECAR into the CEOE structure will mean added value for our Association, a notable support and will allow us to participate of work groups that will result in a higher quality of our companies ". Likewise, "we hope that from AEVECAR we can contribute our experience in the sector and work to support everything we can."
AEVECAR, the service stations, served and safe, have demonstrated their ability to guarantee supply in very difficult conditions and are facing this new stage of recovery from normality at the hands of a large business organization such as CEOE, which will provide it with solidity, structure and capacity to achieve the objective of placing the sector, at least, in the same conditions it had before the pandemic and continue working in the face of complicated situations such as the decarbonisation process, the emergence of other energy sources for transport and, above all, everything, to defend the jobs of professionals who in these weeks have demonstrated a generous and sacrificed attitude in adverse conditions.
With the incorporation of AEVECAR to CEOE, the aim is to improve the services that this organization provides to its affiliates, encourage others to join, increase the possibilities of responding to current problems and improve the representation of all the actors in this sector as They are the standard service stations, the white ones, the oil companies with a lease, etc … both for large, medium and small volumes; urban, road and rural.
