The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food has today sent 12 aerial means to fight the forest fire declared yesterday in the municipality of Barchín del Hoyo (Cuenca), in support of the Autonomous Community of Castilla-La Mancha.

The fire has displaced four amphibious airplanes Canadair, with 5,500 liters of discharge capacity, from the bases of Los Llanos (Albacete), Torrejón de Ardoz (Madrid), and Zaragoza.

Two amphibious aircraft, with a capacity of 3,100 liters, based in Requena (Valencia), as well as a Kamov-type helicopter, 4,500 liters, whose base is located in Las Minas (Guadalajara), also fight the fire.

Likewise, two brigades of reinforcement in forest fires (BRIF), from the bases of Prado de los Esquiladores (Cuenca) and Daroca (Zaragoza), together with their corresponding transport and extinction helicopters (2 each BRIF) contribute to the extinction of this fire. .

A communications and observation aircraft (ACO) and a mobile analysis and planning unit (UMAP) complete the Ministry team in this incident.
