The president of Cs has ensured that the party will make a 'useful and firm opposition to the sablazos and concessions of Sánchez and Iglesias'

The president of Ciudadanos (Cs), Albert Rivera, has transferred to Pedro Sánchez that the formation "will not support his investiture and will be in the opposition". "Sanchez has the constitutional obligation to form a government and from now on it makes sense to talk with his usual partners of Podemos or the nationalists," he explained. "Nobody think it's surprising that he has to negotiate with those who have been his partners in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, the Basque Country, the Balearic Islands or Castilla-La Mancha," said the leader of the liberal training.

In an appearance before the media after a meeting with Sanchez that lasted 40 minutes, Rivera stressed that the party will make a "firm and useful opposition" against the "tax increases and the fiscal sablazos of Sanchez and Iglesias", against the "privileges" to the nationalists and in favor of the equality of the Spaniards, at the same time that it will continue to be "loyal to Spain" in the affairs of the State.

On the other hand, Rivera has celebrated that the Assembly of Madrid is chaired by Citizens and has stressed that there has been an "institutional agreement" for all groups to be present at the Table. "Cs has negotiated with the PP the presidency of the Assembly, but it is not a government agreement", concluded the leader of the orange formation.
