Disseminate, promote and open future business and export routes with Taiwan. With that objective the deputy of the Popular Party of Teruel and mayor of Calanda, Alberto Herrero, traveled last week to Taiwan, the result of the ties that were established with that Asian country in the second half of the year 2019.

On top of the table was the dissemination of agri-food products that are produced in the province of Teruel and on which the Asian country is showing a "great interest", as highlighted by the representative of the ha popular ’. "With this visit we have continued working on the establishment of business relationships that can generate new business opportunities for our companies," he added.

Thanks to this visit, he added, “we already have the keys to start the commercial procedures”, so now a phase begins in “which we have to put in place all the procedures so that the Turolenses products can finally reach a potential market very important as is the Asian ”. In times like these, he has complemented, "it is very important to open new avenues because this way you can guarantee employment, economic viability and even be able to generate new jobs that the province of Teruel needs so much."

This work undertaken since his dual status as a deputy in Congress and Mayor of Calanda responds to his "enthusiasm and commitment" to "bring prosperity to the province of Teruel and also to the Region of Lower Aragon." An appointment that took place in Calanda with the collaboration of the Chamber of Commerce of Teruel and in which 38 companies from the Turolense territory participated.

The visit to the Asian country of the deputy and mayor of the municipality of Aragonese is another step to start the commercialization of agri-food products in the Taiwanese country, including the peach of Calanda. A six-day work trip in which he had a very intense agenda of meetings established by the Taiwanese Government.
