The president of Ciudadanos announces that she is going to deliver to the Executive "a very specific decalogue to support the primary sector" since she considers that "it is an essential sector to guarantee the supply
"At this time we have two objectives: save lives and save jobs so that the damage from the crisis is as little as possible," said the president of Ciudadanos (Cs), Inés Arrimadas, during her speech to the media at a conference of telematic press. "We are going to present a very specific decalogue to support the primary sector", Arrimadas has announced since he considers that "it is an essential sector to guarantee the supply of the population during all this confinement".
In this sense, the also spokesperson for the Parliamentary Group of Citizens (GPCs) has explained that the Decalogue includes issues such as "guaranteeing greater protection for workers to avoid infections in this sector that continues to work every day." He also called for "greater flexibility so that they can access funds and aid" because "we are at a time when the Public Administration has to take the side of the self-employed and SMEs," he added.
At the same time, Inés Arrimadas has defended the need for "an investment plan for this sector", in addition to "improving the circulation of products created and generated by the Spanish agricultural and livestock sector, as well as carrying out awareness-raising campaigns on responsible consumption of local products ”, he specified. "For Spain it will be very important for Europe to support both health emergency measures and those for financing and protecting employment," said the president of Cs.
Lastly, Arrimadas has confirmed that "Cs will vote in favor of extending the State of Alarm", but has insisted on the importance of allowing the plenary session of the Congress of Deputies next Wednesday to be held electronically to "protect all the people who have to participate ”.
