The candidate of Cs to the Congress for Barcelona affirms that 'to defend the Canary Islands it is not necessary to be a nationalist'

"The only party that has never yielded to nationalism and has always fought for equal opportunities is Citizens (Cs)." This was stated on Wednesday the candidate of Cs to the Congress of Deputies for Barcelona, Inés Arrimadas, who has participated in an event in Gran Canaria together with the candidate for Congress for Las Palmas, Saúl Ramírez.

In this regard, he highlighted the work that his training has done in the Lower House for the Canary Islands, because "Saúl Ramírez and Melisa Rodríguez have demonstrated with facts that it is not necessary to be a nationalist to defend the Canaries."

"It's not about claiming privileges, but about defending equality and taking into account the singularities of the islands," said Arrimadas, who recalled that his training "has its own agenda for the Canary Islands within its national program."

“The Canary Coalition speech reminds me a lot of that of other nationalists,” since they have been “decades ruling since victimhood”.

Therefore, he pointed out that "on November 10 it is important to go to the polls", because "we play to have a cohesive country or a country with first and second territories."

In this regard, he added that "the only party that has never yielded to nationalism and has always fought for equal opportunities is Citizens."

"The next 10N we play a Sanchez government supported by populists and nationalists or a strong government led by citizens," which will promote state agreements on such important issues as "pensions or education."

"You have to have a Government of Spain that defends the interests of all Spaniards by layer and sword," and that "will only be achieved with Citizens."

For his part, the candidate of Citizens to the Congress for Las Palmas, Saúl Ramírez, has highlighted the role of Arrimadas because "he has dismantled all the lies of Procés."
