The president of Cs recalls that the orange party was ‘the first to ask for Pacts of National Reconstruction so that the way out of this crisis is sensible and consensual’

"We want to reach a moderate agreement, which avoids sectarian ideology and improvisation", The president of Ciudadanos (Cs), Inés Arrimadas, explained to the media at a telematic press conference. "We were the first to ask for Pacts for National Reconstruction so that the way out of this crisis is sensible and agreed upon", Arrimadas has recalled. "From this situation we must all come out together and with a plan that convinces the majority of Spaniards," he added.

"We have obtained the Government's commitment to suspend the quarterly tax payments that would have to be paid from April 20", the leader of the liberal formation has affirmed when referring to the support of Cs to two of the three Royal Economic Decrees of the Government that were voted yesterday in Congress. In this sense, Arrimadas has highlighted that another of the commitments they have achieved by the Executive is “The flexibility of ERTEs” so they can be processed "Beyond the end date of the Alarm State".

At the same time, the president of the orange formation has remarked that for Cs "It is an obsession to help the self-employed" why "There are more than 3 million freelancers in Spain who are being excluded from government aid". "There are cases like that of autonomous mothers who, if they have just joined their maternal leave, cannot justify a drop in income of 75% compared to previous months," he has exemplified.

Finally, Arrimadas has ensured that "Sánchez will have to choose if he wants to negotiate with Europe solely with the help of Podemos and with a plan that everyone is unaware of" or if otherwise, "Prefers to present a plan backed by the opposition, the Autonomous Communities and the social partners".
