This objective requires an intense work of both the Central Executive and the Government of the Region of Murcia within their respective competences, which must be exercised in a coordinated manner, seeking synergies and from a comprehensive approach.

Among the urgent actions within the competence of the General State Administration, the situation report reflects the progress in the measures that reinforce the surveillance and control of the Hydrographic Confederation of Segura (CHS) on the Public Hydraulic Domain and in the control of spills.

Likewise, from the General Directorate of Sustainability of the Coast and the Sea, work continues on the detection of undue or inconvenient occupations for the Terrestrial Maritime Public Domain (DPMT), with a view to its recovery.

Among the immediate actions to reduce the entry of nutrients into the lagoon, the situation report includes the status of work on the Rambla del Albujón, one of the sources of nitrate contributions to the Mar Menor.

Emergency actions

The status report also collects information on the different studies already underway on pressures to the Mar Menor, state of the lagoon and dynamics of the aquifers, as well as the emergency actions on water and coasts after the DANA from 12 to 16 September that have been initiated by MITECO, although they are not part of the road map.
