La vicesecretaria de Organización, Ana Beltrán

The National Deputy Secretary for the Organization of the Popular Party, Ana Beltrán, today encouraged the Association for Tolerance, dedicated to the defense of constitutionalism in Catalonia, the Basque Country or Navarra since 1992, to continue to stand up to exclusive nationalism and stressed that “ civil society is key in protecting the freedoms of citizens against the drift of the Government of Spain and the PSOE, which have abandoned the defense of the constitutional model.

Ana Beltrán has held a virtual meeting with the president of the association, Eduardo López-Dóriga, and with the coordinator of the organization Gregorio Rello, Beltrán thanked the entity for its commitment and work in the defense of linguistic freedom, of the constitutional order and the victims of terrorism.

During the meeting, the National Deputy Secretary assured that "linguistic imposition creates de facto inaccessible borders for people and limits their development" and has stressed the importance of stopping the roadmap that exclusionary nationalism has set in motion in Spain; as well as denouncing "the conniving attitude of those who today whitewash systematic attacks on State institutions and on a model that has guaranteed 40 years of peace and exemplary coexistence among different people."
