At the meeting, the confederations of northern Spain have shared experiences and analyzed future lines of collaboration in representing the business fabric of their respective territories and in defending the image of the entrepreneur in society.
Together with the hosts, José Antonio Sarría and Carlos Fernández Valdivielso, president and general secretary of CEN, respectively, in the meeting they participated (in alphabetical order by last name): the president of FOES, Santiago Aparicio, the CEO of CEOE-CEPYME Cantabria, Isabel Cuesta, CEOE Aragón CEO, Jorge Díez-Ticio, FER Secretary General, Eduardo Fernández Santolaya, FOES Director General, María Ángeles Fernández Vicente, FER President Jaime García-Calzada, President of SEA, Pascal Gómez Pérez de Zuazagoitia, the general secretary of FADE, Alberto González Menéndez, the general secretary of FAE Burgos, Emiliana Molero, and the general director of SEA, Juan Ugarte.
In the session, different aspects of national business news and of each of the territories were analyzed, such as those related to collective bargaining and the respective Social Dialogue Councils, the importance of promoting Vocational Training for Employment, the support for self-employed workers or the latest initiatives to improve business competitiveness of companies. In this sense, the three strategic projects that are being developed from CEN were analyzed: "Improving the competitiveness of the company through people", "Consolidation and growth of medium-sized companies" and "Development of strategic profiles in the Navarre micropymes ”.
Likewise, José Antonio Sarría, also president of the Education and Training Committee of CEOE, reviewed some of the recent initiatives of the national business confederation, such as the signing of the agreement between CEOE and the Conference of Social Councils of the Spanish Universities, to initiate a stable relationship framework in order to approximate the business environment and the university world for the improvement of higher education.
The previous meeting of business organizations took place on May 8 at the headquarters of the Sorian Business Organizations Federation (FOES), where synergies between the different business organizations were also analyzed and the concerns and interests shared by the companies were shared of the different communities and provinces they represent.
