The deadline for submitting applications remains open until October 1, 2018

The SGAE Foundation, through the Territorial Council of the SGAE in Madrid and in collaboration with De50 up, launches the second exhibition of dramatized stories about theatrical works with female characters over 50 as protagonists: Women who meet. This initiative arises with the purpose of promoting the works of dramatic authors and promoting the inclusion of leading roles for women with more than 5 decades of life.

For this reason, the SGAE Foundation opens a public call addressed to all authors and dramatic authors who are members of the General Society of Authors and Publishers who have their domicile in the Community of Madrid.

Each author may enter a maximum of three original theatrical texts, written in Spanish, provided that they are performed by at least one woman over 50 years old. The deadline for submitting applications remains open until October 1, 2018.

The three chosen theatrical texts will be adapted to monologues that will summarize these works from the point of view of the protagonist woman older than fifty years. These monologues will be read in a cycle that will be held in the Sala Berlanga (C / Andrés Mellado, 53. Madrid) during December 2018.
