The Spanish production of vehicles reached during the first eight months of 2019 the figure of 1,893,100 units, which represents a decrease of 4% compared to the same period of the previous year, according to Spanish Association of Automobile and Truck Manufacturers, ANFAC, The months of July and August break the streak of eight consecutive months of production decline, from October last year, the last month in positive until now and allow to cushion the fall of the whole year, which exceeded 6%. In July, 244,720 vehicles were produced, representing 1.4% more than the same period of 2018. In August, manufacturing increased by 12.6% more, with 111,590 vehicles. The higher production volumes correspond to the increase in the manufacture of passenger cars, which grew by 1.1% in July and 20.4% in August. The vans also stand out in increased manufacturing, with a rise of 11.7% in July and 46.1% in August. Spanish factories also suffer the difficulties that European markets are going through, whose registrations fall, but they are showing a greater resistance in production than those of countries around us, which reduce its manufacturing more in the year. The adaptation of the factories to the new models begins to bear fruit and all this taking into account that, since July, a less model comes out from the Spanish factories.
