The minister explained that "the municipality is the ideal place to mobilize work plans and projects and is the most appropriate environment to build a close and friendly space for and with children and adolescents." He also stressed that the most important challenge for children is their participation: "We must have more children and have citizenship training to be more responsible citizens in the future."
Carcedo has emphasized that the Ministry has adopted in the last legislature numerous measures aimed at improving the quality of life of children and adolescents, such as VECA program or the preliminary draft of the Comprehensive Law on the Protection of Children and Adolescents against Violence, which is already completed. Currently, the Ministry is working on other initiatives such as the implementation of a State Council for Child and Adolescent Participation. "We want to know the radiography of children's participation in all areas of society, at school, in sports, in justice, health, etc."
