The National President of the Popular Party, Pablo Casado, has met with the members of the PP of the Government Board and the Territorial Council of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FEMP).

The meeting, prior to the formal meeting of the Federation, was also attended by the Deputy Secretary of Territorial of the PP, Antonio González Terol.

During the meeting, the appointments of the mayors and presidents of the Deputation who are to preside, vice-preside or represent the PP in the 27 commissions and Working groups in which the EMFF is organized have been addressed.

On the other hand, and after the statements of Abel Caballero as president of the FEMP supporting the dialogue opened by Pedro Sánchez to form a Government, the PP, represented by its more than 2,851 mayors, has tried to introduce in the agenda of the Board of Government an institutional declaration so that the governance of Spain is not agreed neither with the communists nor with those who want to dissolve the unity of the Spanish nation. Caballero has rejected it and has chosen to postpone to another meeting one of the fundamental topics of debate that affects municipalities.
