In Spain, the industry is the base of the gas system, it accounts for 62% of the total national gas consumption, with an invoice that rises every year to 4,700 million euros. The competitiveness of Spanish gas has progressively worsened for industrial consumers with prices 20 and 25% higher than that of its European competitors. In regulated costs, tolls are 45% higher in Spain than the European average: Spanish industrialists pay double the French, triple the British and, in some cases, up to six times what the Germans.

The tolls that support the Spanish industrial suppose a bleeding highly penalizing differential, which undermines competitiveness and directly affects the profitability of sectors such as paper, steel, ceramics, cogeneration, chemicals, glass, refining … and others whose productive activities are gas intensive. The circulars of the CNMC will affect the cost paid by the gas to the industrial consumer, forming a new regulatory framework that will normalize tolls that undermine the competitiveness of hundreds of Spanish industries.

GasINDUSTRIAL It has promoted the union of eleven sectoral associations seriously affected, which support the CNMC and demand the resolution of the problem now that the new regulatory framework is being designed. The Confederation of Employers of Aragon, CEOE Aragón, through its Support Service for the Creation of Companies, SACME, has selected 13 business projects to support its first in Zaragoza. They are chosen from among the 32 submitted to the current municipal call of the SACME Program, which is celebrating its 43rd edition, with the backing of the Zaragoza City Council.

The business projects are very diverse, going from consulting in various fields to biotechnology, through restoration, leisure or commerce.

The selection of projects has been made after more than 180 free advices during the first half of the year to people with different business ideas in Zaragoza. Technicians and businessmen of CEOE Aragón have analyzed with them the projects, as well as their business plans.

The selected projects already follow a specific program of training, mentoring and promotion in the first years of its implementation, which began with a week of "business training and immersion" and a day of coexistence between technicians and specialists and the new selected entrepreneurs.

They join the 584 business projects that have participated in this SACME program since its inception in 1996. The president of CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, proposed to the General Assembly of CEOE held today in Madrid the expansion of the number of vice-presidencies of the Confederation, the proposal being approved unanimously. In this way, CEOE has gone on to have 10 vice-presidencies.

Likewise, they considered it fundamental that the public sector recognizes in its public agendas the measures so that companies can innovate and have budgets according to these measures. The private sector also claims to reduce the legislative system associated with innovation as a measure to guarantee its effectiveness. Finally, they assured that the education and formation of the society must accompany this effort so that the culture of the innovation is integrated spontaneously. In fact, they indicated that business organizations are mediators between companies and public agents in this work.

Young Entrepreneurs Forum

Yesterday, day 2, an event organized by the Spanish Confederation of Young Entrepreneurs Associations (CEAJE) and the Ibero-American Federation of Young Entrepreneurs (FIJE), under the motto "Business in Latin America, was also held within the framework of the III Forum of the Mipyme. " The president of FIJE, Juan Manuel Barrero, will take part in it; the Ibero-American General Secretary, Rebeca Grynspan; the general secretary of the Ibero-American Youth Organization, Max Trejo; and the CEOE CEO, Gerardo Cuerva and CEOE International CEO and permanent secretary of CEIB, Narciso Casado. The vice president of CEOE and president of CEPYME, Gerardo Cuerva, praised the opening of the event to the International Youth Organization for the preparation of the Ibero-American Youth Entrepreneurship Report, presented in February and which analyzes the progress and challenges facing entrepreneurship in the 21st Ibero-American countries. The report, he said, indicates that young people in the region between 24 and 35 years old have a higher entrepreneurial rate than the adult population and that there is a high youth predisposition towards entrepreneurship. However, he informed, these vocations tend to fall in the next three years.

Cuerva said that from the business organizations, an effort should be made to promote and encourage youth entrepreneurship. He considered that the Ibero-American space governments are making an important effort to strengthen entrepreneurial ecosystems. As for the companies, he pointed out that they request a reduction in the regulatory burden; they demand the creation of experimental spaces for innovative ideas; claim a greater capillarity to access talent; and clear financing models, depending, depending on the situation, on public investment, co-investment or private sector investment.
