The president of CEOE Internacional, Marta Blanco, has participated, as president of the Follow-up Commission of the Cooperation Council, in the plenary session of said Council, which was attended by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, the European Union and Cooperation , Arancha González Laya. Said Council, chaired by the Secretary of State for International Cooperation, Ángeles Moreno Bau, has addressed a series of opinions on a battery of reports, including: Communication 2020, ODA Follow-up Report 2018, reports of Humanitarian Action (Report of Results of Humanitarian Action 2014-2015 and General Report of 2016 and 2017 of Humanitarian Response of the Office of Humanitarian Action, the Reports of Multilateral Cooperation 2016 and 2017, the Opinion on the Strategy of response to the crisis of COVID-19, as well as the 2019 Accountability Report.
Minister González Laya has reported on the Joint Response Strategy of Spanish cooperation to the COVID-19 crisis, the state of affairs and plan for the current legislature. In the framework of the plenary session of the Council, the report on the new development cooperation system to make the 2030 Agenda a reality: proposals for reform, prepared by the Capacity and Resources Working Group, composed of non-governmental cooperation actors, has been presented. In this regard, the president of CEOE Internacional presented the plenary statement on said Report, which is considered an important input for reflection in the process of reform of the cooperation system.
