The permanent secretary of CEIB and CEO of International Relations of CEOE, Narciso Casado, travels this week to Rio de Janeiro to participate in the Brazil-Spain Business Meeting, together with numerous authorities and representatives of institutions and companies of both countries. Casado will intervene in the panel “Brazil: a new framework for internal and external action. Economic potential and business opportunities ”, which will serve to know first hand the possibilities of bilateral cooperation in sectors of common interest. During his visit, the permanent secretary of CEIB will also meet with the main representatives of the homologous business organization of CEOE, the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and the National Congress of Young Entrepreneurs (CONAJE), which is, in turn , member of the Ibero-American Federation of Young Entrepreneurs (FIJE).
Brazil-Spain Business Meeting
The Brazil-Spain Business Meeting, which will take place tomorrow in Rio De Janeiro, will begin with the opening session, in which the Minister of Regional Development, Gustavo Enrique Rigodanzo; the Deputy Minister of Economy of Brazil, Marcelo Dos Guaranys; and the Secretary of State for Commerce, Xiana Méndez. Previously, the Secretary of Economic Development and International Relations of the Government of Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Tristão do Carmo and the ambassador of Spain in Brazil, Fernando García, will welcome attendees to the Meeting.
After a brief intervention by the Secretary of State for Foreign Trade and International Affairs of the Ministry of Economy of Brazil, Marcos Troyjo, the plenary sessions will be held, which will be divided into three blocks: “Brazil: a new framework for internal and external action. Economic potential and business opportunities ”,“ Project financing ”and“ Opportunities in the Infrastructure, Defense and Energy sector ”.
In the first block, which deals with economic potential and bilateral business opportunities, the Brazilian Deputy Minister of Economy, Marcelo Dos Guaranys, will participate; the Secretary of State for the Research Partnerships Program, Marta Seillier; the general coordinator of Extra-Regional Trade Negotiations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brazil, Paula Aguiar; and the director of the Department of Promotion of Services and Industries of said Ministry, Luis César Gasser. On the Spanish side, the Secretary of State for Commerce, Xiana Méndez; the permanent secretary of CEIB and CEO of CEOE International, Narciso Casado; and the director of International of the Chamber of Commerce of Spain, Jaime Montalvo. This first panel will be moderated by the general director of Internationalization of the Company of ICEX, Javier Serra.
In the blocks that will take place next, on financing of projects and opportunities in the infrastructure, defense and energy sector, Brazilian government authorities will participate, both nationally and regionally; as well as representatives of the main financial institutions of both countries. The meeting will end on Friday morning with meetings between Spanish and Brazilian companies to analyze possibilities for cooperation in projects of common interest.
Meetings
During his visit, the permanent secretary of CEIB will also meet with the main representatives of the homologous business organization of CEOE, the National Confederation of Industry (CNI) and the National Congress of Young Entrepreneurs (CONAJE), which is, in turn , member of the Ibero-American Federation of Young Entrepreneurs (FIJE). In both meetings, Casado will discuss the possibilities of collaboration with these organizations and; As permanent secretary of the Council of Ibero-American Entrepreneurs (CEIB), he will report on the preparatory acts of the next Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government of Andorra in 2020, which will bear the motto “Innovation for Sustainable Development.
