The vice president of CEOE, Miguel Garrido, and the director of the Department of Education and Training, Juan Carlos Tejeda, participated this Wednesday in the presentation of the Plan for the Modernization of Vocational Training (FP) that has taken place at the Palacio de la Moncloa , in charge of the Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, and in which the Vice President of CEOE, Ines Juste, has also intervened.

It is a very relevant initiative, since, in addition to having a budget of 1,467 million euros – not from training fees – it places companies and, in general, the social partners, at the center of vocational training.

It is important to highlight that the plan includes 852.5 million euros to accredit competencies to some 11 million workers, which is close to half of the active population. In this sense, Tejeda has considered that it is a "very important bet because this accreditation has a positive impact not only on the qualification of workers, but also on business competitiveness".

He added that it is to be expected that the social dialogue table dedicated to training, within the Ministry of Education, can begin to develop this plan as soon as possible.
