The president of Cs shows his satisfaction for the achievement in Castilla y León of suppressing 'a tax that has been punishing the efforts of families for decades' in this region

Citizens (Cs) has succeeded in eliminating inheritance and donation tax for direct family members in Castilla y León. "After 40 years paying to inherit the assets, work and effort of a family member, today the Government of Cs in Castilla y León has announced the abolition of this tax as we did in Andalusia and Murcia" explained the president of Citizens (Cs), Albert Rivera, in addition to ensuring that "when we lead a new government at the national level, this tax will not be paid anywhere else in Spain."

With this achievement, the governance agreement between Citizens and PP in the regional executive of Castilla y León, which established, among other measures on fiscal policy, the Inheritance Tax bonus and donations between direct family members, is complied with. Specifically, the taxation of donations and inheritance of assets and rights of first generation family entities will be reduced to 99%, almost eliminating this tax.
