The Secretary of State for Commerce of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Tourism has prepared a "Guide of recommendations for the development of remote commercial activity and supply of rural areas without commercial premises", whose objective is to improve the protection of citizens and workers in the marketing of products remotely in the modalities of commerce 'on-line', telephone, 'click & collect' and 'click & car'. Complements the 'Guide to good practices in the commercial sector' published at the beginning of the crisis caused by COVID-19.
The Guide – produced together with the Ministry of Health and with contributions from the sector – establishes guidelines to guarantee the safety of both consumers and merchants who work outside the physical establishment and distribute products in rural areas that lack physical commerce.
The objective is to minimize the risk of contagion and guarantee supply through both online and telephone sales and service in itinerant vehicles in areas that lack commercial establishments for basic necessity products. For the Secretary of State for Commerce, Xiana Méndez, "commercial services are essential to guarantee that citizens have access to those products necessary to ensure their complete supply."
The Guide will be available at website of the Ministry.
