Concern over the Israeli announcement of settlement expansion in East Jerusalem

The Spanish Government reiterates its public position and constant condemnation of settlements in the occupied territories for being contrary to international law and an obstacle to the solution of two states in accordance with international parameters.

In the current context, such unilateral acts will further remove the possibilities of a negotiation between Israelis and Palestinians.

Therefore, the Spanish Government urges the Israeli authorities to reconsider these decisions.
