The Civil Guard, within the framework of the "Bime" operation, carried out in Salamanca, Zamora and Valladolid, has arrested 6 people belonging to an organization dedicated to the "indoor" cultivation of marijuana, proceeding to the intervention of 781 marijuana plants, material for its cultivation and two trailers that were used for marijuana plantations. Likewise, a firearm that had been stolen in 2017 has been recovered.
The operation began at the beginning of the year, when the agents detected that a group of people residing in various towns in the province of Salamanca, were professionally engaged in the cultivation of marijuana.
Continuing with the investigations, the Civil Guard found that the members of the organization had moved to towns with few inhabitants to cultivate marijuana, thus managing to go unnoticed since the facilities had sophisticated systems for the elimination of odors and noise and thus avoiding any warning to the Civil Guard due to inconvenience that could be caused to the neighbors.
Likewise, the agents were able to verify that the people investigated went daily to the places where they grew the drug to carry out the necessary care and thus obtain large productions. In this way, they obtained great benefits and allowed them to maintain being able to invest in new plantations.
Refrigerated semi-trailers
Likewise, the organization had created “itinerant” plantations inside refrigerated semi-trailers that were used to transport drugs from one place to another in the event of detecting a police presence, thus managing to move the facility to a new location.
It should be noted that this is the first time that an “Indoor” mobile marijuana plantation has been discovered inside trucks.
