Agents of the Civil Guard and the National Police, within the framework of the Dawn / Vulture operation, have dismantled a criminal organization dedicated to trafficking in human beings for the purpose of sexual exploitation in Mijas (Málaga). 10 people (including the ringleader and his right hand) have been arrested for their alleged involvement in crimes of trafficking in human beings for the purposes of sexual exploitation, related to prostitution and sexual exploitation, against the rights of workers, against the public health, money laundering and membership in a criminal organization. The women were recruited in their countries of origin in South America and transferred to Spain, specifically to a villa in Mijas, with the main investigator assuming the total cost of the trip. Upon arrival in the town, the victims were forced to practice prostitution 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until they repaid the debt contracted with the organization.

Start of investigation: a call to the line 900 10 50 90

The investigation began as a result of a call to the phone 900 10 50 90 (belonging to the National Police plan against trafficking in human beings for the purpose of sexual exploitation), in which it disclosed facts that could constitute crimes trafficking in human beings for the purpose of Sexual Exploitation, Relative to Prostitution, Against the Law of Workers, Against Public Health, Money Laundering.

The agents received information that pointed to the existence of an organized group made up of 10 people, almost all of them Colombian, who ran a dating house in the town of Mijas. In this, there would be between 15 or 16 women, the majority in an irregular situation, many of them would have been captured in South America and transferred to Spain to be sexually exploited, every day of the week and with hardly any rest, to pay off the debt that they would have contracted, for their transfer to our country, about 3,000 euros. In addition, the plot profited from both the sexual services and the alternate provided by the victims who received little profit for their services.

Organization based in the province of Malaga

After several steps, the investigators verified the veracity of the information. It was a perfectly organized group in which each of the members played a specific role. The clan, which had the collaboration of several relatives, was led by two brothers and on the next lower echelon was the brother-in-law of the first investigated who was in charge of the security of the house and control of all the activities that were carried out there. They carried out and ranged from the sale and distribution of narcotic substances and drugs to clients who kept appointments, to the commission of scams through fraudulent or unauthorized charges on their bank cards.

The criminal organization to give legal appearance to the money obtained from its illegal activities, was dedicated to the sale of second-hand vehicles, as well as the acquisition of real estate; It also used two hospitality establishments run by those investigated in Marbella and Malaga.

The investigation culminated in the arrest of the network's leaders and seven other members.
