The PP spokeswoman in the European Parliament, Dolors Montserrat, has defended today that the EU continues leading the fight against climate change and promoting more ambitious objectives in this regard, but combining this objective with the creation of employment and the promotion of economic growth.

"We need more ambition in our objectives, and also more ambition on the part of the countries that are big emitters of pollutant gases," he said during a debate in the European Parliament days before the Climate Summit (COP25) to be held in Madrid to Starting next week.

But we also need, the popular spokeswoman in the European Parliament added, "measure our steps well" in the fight against climate change: "we need consensus, social acceptance and protect employment and economic competitiveness."
