The most important thing for the PP is to save lives. Everything else is subject to this primary action, because in public health there should be no political colors.
The Community of Madrid has acted in an exemplary way and has been the first public institution to have taken very important containment measures.
The GPP's deputy spokesman, José Ignacio Echániz, affirms that the Government has “all the support of the opposition to take responsible, effective and coordinated measures”.
It shows "the support" of the PP to those affected, their families, the elderly and "absolute support" to professionals in the national health system, who are "exemplary behavior in times of enormous difficulty."
"We are proud of a health system capable of responding effectively to a national problem as important as the one that Spain and other neighboring countries are facing."
He underlines that "the PP's position cannot be other than that of loyalty and institutional responsibility", and stresses that "in public health problems there should be no political colors".
He recalls that "from the first day, almost two months ago, the PP expressed its position of absolute responsibility and vigilant support for the Government, because time will have to ask for responsibilities regarding the concrete execution of the policies that are being adopted."
Remember that when the Ebola public health problem the opposition behaved "in a very little responsible and loyal way" with the Government, unlike what the PP is doing now with the current Executive.
"Two months have passed and we hope that today the Council of Ministers and the appearance of the minister before Congress will shed some light on all this management that the Government of Spain has to lead."
