The CDTI Board of Directors has approved the appointment of Elisa Robles Fraga as the new CEO. The CDTI is an organism dependent on the Secretary of State for Research, Development and Innovation, attached to the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
Elisa Robles is a lawyer and has a degree in Political Science and Sociology. Official of the Body of Civil Administrations of the State and of the Body of Administrators of the European Commission, since July 2011 she was general director of Economy, Statistics and Technological Innovation of the Community of Madrid.
Graduated in Senior Business Management from the IESE Business School, she was a lawyer and partner in the Cremades & Calvo-Sotelo Office. Postgraduate in Advanced European Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges and Management of Research, Development and Technology-based Innovation M.I.T at the Sloan School of Management, Cambridge (USA).
General Director of Technology and Industrial Safety (1996-1998) and General Director of Industries and Information Technologies (1998-2000) at the Ministry of Industry and Energy, where she had previously been Deputy General Director of Technological Programs from 1990 to 1996.
Robles Fraga has also been vice-president of the Telecommunications Market Commission (CMT) and vice-president of CDTI.
