Equality condemns a new macho murder in Fuenlabrada in a tragic week

The Ministry of Equality condemns a new sexist murder yesterday March 11 in Abanto-Zierbena, Vizcaya province. The woman, who was allegedly killed by her spouse, was 56 years old and had a daughter. There is no record of previous complaints against the alleged aggressor.

The Minister of Equality, Irene Montero and the delegate of the Government against Gender Violence, Victoria Rosell, once again express their absolute condemnation and rejection of this new sexist murder and transfer all their support to the families and friends of the victim. These deaths are a scourge for Spanish society that points out, even more so, the urgency of establishing a solution with the means and resources to avoid new sexist killings.

The Ministry of Equality, through the Government Delegation against Gender Violence, also wishes to recall the existence of the telephone service for information and legal advice on gender violence, through the abbreviated dial telephone number 016.

As announced, the first Thursday of each month there will be an institutional appearance by the Government Delegate against Gender Violence, Victoria Rosell, to assess the situation of male violence in Spain and the policies that are being carried out to prevent it.
