The Spanish Federation of Food and Beverage Industries (FIAB) will celebrate one more year the Madrid Food & Drink Summit, an act that will claim food and beverages as part of our culture and traditions under the motto "The art of feeding".

Conducted by the journalist Monica Sanz, FIAB will gather the next June 13th at the Museo del Prado to more than 400 professionals linked to the food and beverage industry and other sectors to discuss the context of transformation under which different productive sectors operate. The Madrid Food & Drink Summit 2019 will be inaugurated by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Luis Planas, and will also have the presence of Acting Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Reyes Maroto, which will close the act.

In a context in which business models, marketing and internationalization, consumer trends and the environmental and technological implications of production are being transformed, food is also art and culture: the art of our diet, which together with other factors place us as the fourth longest living country in the world and that in 2040 will place Spain as the country with the highest life expectancy; the culture of Spanish foods and beverages that cross borders, and that, as has been reflected in painting and literature for centuries, are part of our life, the pleasure of food, the tradition of celebrating and sharing around a table .

In its seventh edition, FIAB will bring together high-level speakers who will explain the deep process of evolution that their companies have made to give way to new business models. The inaugural address will be borne by Emilio Gayo, President of Telefónica Spain.

Digitization has driven new ways of understanding the market, either in its relationship with consumers, in adapting to new formats or in the creation of new leadership strategies. FIAB will bring the cases of Irene Cano, General Director of Facebook Spain and Portugal, Y Mosiri Cabezas, Chief Data Officer of IKEA.

In addition, we will discuss how the digital strategy has influenced the internationalization of the companies participating in the "Food and Wines from Spain" initiative at the hands of Ryan Frank, Amazon Head of Marketplace, Y María Peña, CEO of ICEX, in a moderate talk by Javier Vello, Partner responsible for Retail and Consumption of EY Spain.

The VII Madrid Food & Drink Summit will also highlight the role of Spanish food and drinks as part of our culture and the tradition of celebrating and sharing. For this, FIAB will review how art and literature have picked up the importance of food and drink in our lives, through the vision of writers Santiago Posteguillo Y Juan Eslava Galán and the General Coordinator of Education of the Prado Museum, Ana Moreno.

In the course of the act, the Federation will deliver its Recognitions 2019 to the European Commissioner for Climate and Energy Action, Miguel Arias Cañete, the journalist Matías Prats and the businessman Javier Robles.

The humorist Santi Rodríguez will close the event, which has the institutional sponsorship of ICEX, MAPA and CESCE, as well as with the collaboration of EY, Engie, Ecoembes, Ecovidrio, Alimentaria, Coca-Cola Y Interalimentary Forum. You can see all the information in this link.
