Teodoro García Egea en rueda de prensa

  • He considers that the Executive has committed “intolerable infamy” with the cessation of Colonel Pérez de los Cobos, something for which Marlaska will have to respond and believes that “they would not have dared to do the same with a BILDU or ERC ”
  • He criticizes that Sánchez intends to impose an ideological agenda and demonstrates being closer to BILDU than to the Civil Guard
  • He assures that it is "very serious" that, five months after his inauguration, the Government ceases anyone who investigates him and finds it uncomfortable and makes decisions arbitrarily and with impunity to remove those who question him
  • He claims that if Marlaska had a pinch of honor as a judge and interior minister, he would have said, as attributed to the environment of the founder of the Civil Guard: "Give me the written order that my successor will carry out"
  • He states that today "the honor of the Civil Guard remains intact", like that of the dismissed colonel, "a man who gives his life to protect all Spaniards", while Marlaska has lost the dignity he had as a judge, following Sánchez's instructions
  • He emphasizes that Marlaska has preferred the infamy of dismissing a man of honor, such as Colonel Pérez de los Cobos, than "putting Spain ahead", for which he regrets that there is no longer any trace of that judge who was with the they needed him
  • He asks Sánchez if he is going to ask his government delegate for responsibility for being charged, his vice president if a judge calls him to testify and questions whether they belong to a different class from the rest of the citizens
  • He stresses that Sánchez has advanced on a "very dangerous path" of stopping anyone who stands in his way and will face the PP, which requires the appearance and explanations of Marlaska
  • He denounces an attitude in the Government of "good words and a good tone in Parliament, but with an iron hand when it comes to shooting down those who oppose him"
  • He emphasizes that the Government wants to draw a cartoon in which "the rest of the parties that oppose us are in radicalism" and asks Sánchez if they are radicals who are in an ERTE and do not pay a euro, the tourism sector, the health workers who have been working in the front line or the Civil Guard who is risking his life
  • He emphasizes that neither this nor any subsequent cessation of a Government that wants to control the media and Justice will cover its "disastrous management" in the coronavirus crisis
