The spokesperson for Social Rights and Equality of the GPCs, Sara Giménez, has presented an orange law on the equality of the LGTBi collective on the occasion of the International Day of Transsexual Memory
"In Cs we registered a law so that transsexual people feel free to love, express their sexuality and improve our society," said the spokesperson for Social Rights and Equality of the GPCs, Sara Giménez, ensuring that this law "implies progress in equality". "It involves the creation of a common framework that harmonizes legislation in the field of equality for these people", since "currently we do not have a common framework throughout Spain," he said.
Giménez has presented this orange law on the equality of the LGTBi collective on the occasion of the International Day of Transsexual Memory, in which "the therapies of transsexual people are eliminated." "I feel very proud because, thanks to Cs, we have made conversion therapies disappear, that there is a portfolio of services and that there is a framework for the protection of victims of hate crimes or discrimination for being LGTBi people." In addition, he assured that the liberal formation "will continue there, advancing and taking steps forward", because "there are people who want to deny the reality of this population group." "I hope that the rest of the political groups will accompany us in this process," he said.
