VOX in Aragon has registered a Proposal not of Law in which it raises the priority to help those affected by the Coronavirus and job creation.
In the proposal addressed to the Cortes, it proposes to allocate, in whole or in part, the financial endowment of the Parliamentary Group, to any associations affected by the coronavirus or social projects to help those affected by documenting the effective destination of the funds.
For this, VOX requests the Government of Aragon to order, immediately, the suspension of the budget execution of any aid or subsidy to unions, business organizations, foundations, associations, or any private entities in which the project, activity, program or action is not intended directly to aid those affected by the Coronavirus or to create jobs; transferring the budget items to the purposes of fighting the coronavirus and its economic consequences.
Likewise, to authorize that, exceptionally, and for the duration of the declaration of the state of alarm, the political groups can, without damaging employment, allocate, in whole or in part, the financial provision legally established in their favor, to any associations affected by the coronavirus or social projects to help those affected by the coronavirus; documentary proofing the effective destination of the funds.
The biggest health and economic crisis
In the current context, the duty of the Public Administrations is to devote all their efforts and available resources to face the greatest health and economic crisis that Spain has faced in this century; adopting urgent measures to reallocate public funds to the urgent needs of this national emergency.
Among these resources, it is necessary to make express mention of the subsidies to the Parliamentary Groups that all the regional assemblies of Spain grant in the exercise of their financial autonomy.
Given the exceptional situation facing our country, we consider it necessary that the parliamentary groups of all the autonomous assemblies can also devote their efforts and resources to solving the health and economic crisis that is ravaging Spain; with the logical limit of damaging employment.
It is the power of the autonomous assemblies to determine the amounts and the specific destination of the subsidies received by the groups that form them. To rise to the occasion, these groups must, exceptionally, be able to allocate these grants to the fight against the coronavirus and its fatal consequences.
