The countries of Ibero-America are experiencing an unprecedented situation due to the advance of the COVID 19 virus. Without a doubt, this crisis represents the greatest economic and social challenge they have had to face in their recent history. To mitigate its effects, unprecedented multilateral coordination will be required.

For this reason, from the Council of Ibero-American Entrepreneurs-CEIB, in collaboration with the International Organization of Employers-OIE and the Ibero-American Federation of Young Entrepreneurs, FIJE, and with the aim of sharing experiences, seeking common approaches and positions, and keeping informed Since the beginning of the pandemic, the business ecosystem with interests in the Region was launched newsletter which includes the recommendations and positions of its 23 member business organizations, own analysis documents prepared by its technical departments, and information from the institutions of the Region, such as the Ibero-American General Secretary-SEGIB, the Development Bank of Latin America-CAF , the Ibero-American Development Bank-IDB, the Central American Bank for Economic Integration, the Secretariat for Central American Economic Integration-SIECA, the Regional Center for the Private Sector of the United Nations or the Ibero-American Center for Arbitration-CIAR, among others.

14 bulletins with more than 450 documents and a significant number of links to information have been published and distributed. All this informative material is available in the “COVID-19” section of the CEIB website: https://www.empresariosiberoamericanos.org/

In addition, this informative tool coordinated by the CEIB Permanent Secretariat in CEOE, is completed with another document that includes the solidarity initiatives that the business organizations of the Ibero-American Business Council have launched.
