The Meteorology Statal Agency, attached to the Ministry for the Ecological Transition, confirms that last June was, as a whole, very dry. Specifically, the driest third of the 21st century.

Although June of 2019 has been warm, the month has also stood out for its thermal contrast. An example is the case of Teruel, which broke opposite records when registering the highest minimum temperature (19ºC) and the lowest minimum temperature (0,7ºC) of a month of June.

During the heat wave episode at the end of the month, in 29 stations, the maximum recorded temperature was the highest measured in June, specifically in Girona, Lleida, Madrid, Navacerrada and Torrejón de Ardoz. the highest of each station since there is data. In addition, 10 main stations exceeded the previous highest minimum temperature value in June, and in two of them, Segovia and Ávila, the minimum temperature recorded on June 29 (23.3 ºC and 21.4 ºC, respectively) was the highest minimum temperature measured since there is data.

A dry month
