VOX has shown its resounding opposition on Tuesday to the proposal brought to the Plenary of the Congress of Deputies by ERC for the express regularization of immigrants in the health, care and agricultural fields. An initiative that only seeks "slave labor" and this has been warned by the national deputy of VOX for Ceuta, Teresa López, who has accused the nationalists of being "exploiters" who want to attract immigrants to condemn them to "a job precarious, to live badly and to commit crimes when they cannot find a job ”. "In addition, you are unpatriotic who seek to replace nationals with immigrant workers and that these remain in the street having contributed for years," the Ceuta parliamentarian reproached.
VOX has directly proposed a suppression amendment to the ERC initiative because, as López has stressed, it is "false" that there is government reluctance to regularize immigrants. "Proof of this is that already in June the General Directorate of Migration made it more flexible for immigrants to regularize their situation in Spain through various instructions to the Immigration offices to facilitate social roots, family reunification and renewal of permits", the deputy recalled, to point out that "the reality is that these instructions are a covert way of making immigrants' stay in Spain more flexible."

Finally, López has criticized that this regularization seeks to solve "the massive arrival of unaccompanied minors in 2018 and who are currently of legal age without having a residence and work permit."
