The Acting Minister of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare, María Luisa Carcedo, visited this morning the headquarters of the Government Delegation for the National Plan on Drugs (PNSD).
Accompanied by the Delegate of the PNSD, Azucena Martí, the minister has greeted the staff of the Delegation and has been interested in the different programs that they carry out.
Thus, it has visited, for example, an exhibition of objects that are part of the Fund of Forfeited Assets, from whose sale funds are obtained destined to the prevention of addictions.
The minister has visited the Documentation Center of the PNSD, which has the most complete bibliographic collection in Spain and has evaluated the work of the members of the Spanish Observatory of Drugs and Addictions, who have transferred information on the most recent trends in with regard to the consumption of psychoactive substances.
He also thanked the work done through the prevention, assistance and social reintegration programs that are carried out throughout Spain in the field of addictions.
Finally, he has been able to learn in detail the activities that the PNSD carries out in the international arena and the recent advances made in matters of cooperation on addictions.
