Medication delivery device across the Spanish-Portuguese border

These nationals from the neighboring country usually work and reside in Spanish municipalities
The Civil Guard, in coordination with the Red Cross and the Republican National Guard of Portugal, is collaborating in the delivery of medicines across the Spanish-Portuguese border.
The Civil Guard was informed through the Red Cross of the situation of a person who was asking for help to get his usual medication, since he had been confined in the neighboring country when the closure of the borders between Spain and Portugal was activated. and cross-border traffic restrictions began.
In turn, the agents became aware of the existence of two other people residing in the Zamora town of Fermoselle who were in the same situation as the previous one. All of them temporarily located in second homes in the Portuguese town of Bemposta.
Those affected requested help to be able to get their medication, due to the difficulty of accessing it, either, due to lack of their own means, such as the distance at which the authorized passage for the transit of passengers and goods between the two countries, the closest being about 100 km. of your location.
For this reason, the Red Cross initiated a series of contacts to find an alternative and to facilitate the delivery of the medications, requiring the collaboration of the Civil Guard.
Once the action with the Portuguese authorities was scheduled, a meeting was agreed at the Fermoselle-Bemposata border crossing, to deliver the medicines that were collected by GNR components and later delivered to the homes of the people they were destined for. .
Likewise, on the same morning, material donated by Fermoselle's pharmacy was delivered to the GNR, for delivery to the old people's home in the town of Bemposta.
