The GPP calls for Sánchez to appear in Congress to report on the latest European Council and new measures against the Coronavirus
Registered the two requests to appear in the Lower House

• The GPP agriculture spokesperson stresses that "every time the PSOE negotiates in Europe, farmers and ranchers lose". In 2007-2013, with the PSOE and 5,000 million more to distribute, 1,300 million fewer arrived in Spain; in 2014-2020, with the PP and 1,346 million less starting, Spain received 238 million more

• He points out that in the last PAC the PP had signed an agreement with France a year earlier. And the same day of the motion of censure there were agreements with 15 countries: "Today there are no partners, and some country has already said that it does not want to negotiate with the current coalition government"

• He reproaches Minister Planas for his words that ‘4,000 million cut may be a good starting point to negotiate the CAP’, and warns that if there is no more money, no more demands can be accepted

• He points out that "the government's attempts to systematically mislead the EU with the accounts do not make us gain credibility, nor that we are in a better position for negotiations as important as those required by the sector"

• Regarding tariffs, highlights that "the lack of negotiation makes our products cost 24% more than that of the countries with which we compete" and that products that do not meet the same requirements as the Spanish arrive

• Regrets that "the ideological question" is imposing itself on the productive reality in policies such as water management, energy management, "the vilification" of diesel, hunting or employment with damage to the image and reputation of our products in Europe

• He points out that the current Government has not solved "anything" the problems derived from low profitability and the increase in production costs, and asks if the chain's Decree "has come to solve something"

• He warns that "the closure of the Horeca Canal has led to problems of losses for wine, oil, livestock, fighting, cut flower or stone fruit", and regrets that while France or Germany were taking "decisive measures and budget ”, in Spain there is still no news

• Advocates moving towards profitability by reducing environmental impact – "sustainability yes, but not without profitability" -, he specifies

• "The EU continues to advance without Spain having the weight that corresponds to it to negotiate the European policies that affect the agri-food sector"

• Regarding the Farm to Table and biodiversity strategies, it raises two questions: if the sector would not have been better prepared if up to five strategies approved by the PP had been put in place and that the PSOE kept in a drawer; and if the Government has a clear roadmap to guarantee environmental sustainability without losing profitability, and if it is going to prepare technical reports, and reports on the environmental, social and economic impact of the strategy's proposals.
