More than a million face masks arrive to Spain for workers in regional and local public land transport, in the maritime, port and air sectors and in the Post Office

These protection masks of the FFP2 type will be distributed among workers of the Mitma Group (ADIF and ADIF-Alta Velocidad, Renfe-Operadora, ENAIRE, AENA, Puertos del Estado, Sasemar, etc.), Correos and shipping, port companies and air, as well as to autonomous communities, the latter for delivery to land transport workers of regional and local competition.

The acquisition of these shipments has been made by the emergency procedure, in accordance with the provisions of article 16 of Royal Decree-Law 7/2020, of March 12, by which urgent measures are taken to respond to the economic impact of COVID -19, under the provisions of article 120 of Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts.

In the terrestrial field, Mitma has already delivered around 450,000 masks, almost half of a first batch received days ago, to some 47,000 carriers throughout Spain.
