Arrested 11 fugitives claimed by judicial authorities of Spain and Colombia

02-July-2018.- National Police Agents, in a joint operation with the Directorate of Criminal Investigation and INTERPOL (DIJIN), the Directorate of Police Intelligence (DIPOL) of the National Police of Colombia and the Specialized Directorate Against Drug Trafficking of the Attorney General of the Colombian Nation They have arrested 11 fugitives claimed by the judicial authorities of Spain and Colombia. The arrests have taken place in a coordinated manner in Colombia and Spain.

The close permanent collaboration between the National Police of Spain and Colombia, through their respective National Central Bureaus of Interpol based in Madrid and Bogota, exchanging lists of fugitives from justice, has allowed to carry out this operation that has resulted in the arrest of 11 fugitives involved in organized and serious criminal activities.

The fugitives had arrest warrants for drug trafficking, conspiracy, robbery with force, sexual abuse or sexual assault on minors.

68 arrested thanks to international police cooperation

The successive collaborative operations between police forces that have taken place since 2017 have allowed the arrest of prominent fugitives, such as the head of an international drug trafficking organization based in Spain accused of transporting more than a tonne of cocaine to our country. cocaine in December 2009.
