In this way, the detainees managed to get the drug to occupy the minimum space and prevent the smell from causing possible police control.
21-May-2019.- Agents of the National Police have arrested eleven people and have dismantled a criminal organization dedicated to the trafficking of marijuana. During the investigation, 35 kilograms of marijuana packed in vacuum in plastic bags and prepared for consumption were intervened, as well as thirteen ceramic pallets with cavities. In Vinaroz (Castellón) a center for packaging, hiding and heating for narcotic substances was located.
Organization based in Linares (Jaén)
The investigations began last December, after a series of robberies with force in villas in the locality of Linares Jaen. After several efforts, the agents arrested one of the people under investigation when carrying a load of nine kilos of marijuana, which led to the suspicion that the organization was engaged in the trafficking of narcotic substances.
The investigations confirmed this and allowed to know the way the organization acts. Part of it, based in Linares (Jaén), was responsible for the cultivation, treatment, collection and packaging of marijuana, which was subsequently sold to the other branch of the organization, located in the towns of Vinaroz (Castellón) and San Carlos de la Rápita, in the province of Tarragona. From these locations, they moved to Linares for the purchase of the substance and, immediately, they returned with it to their places of origin. Members of the organization traveled weekly from Vinaroz to Linares in two vehicles, one of which acted as a shuttle, while the second vehicle was used to transport the narcotic substance.
Thirteen pallets with ceramics with cavities for hiding
After several efforts, the National Police intervened in Vinaroz about 25 kilograms of marijuana in the vehicle of one of the investigated, narcotic that had acquired that same day in Linares. The agents accredited that the members of the criminal network made one or two weekly trips to Linares to buy marijuana.
In a warehouse located in the town of Vinaroz, the police located a center for packaging, hiding and heating for the narcotic substances, intervening ten kilos of marijuana bagged and vacuum packed. In addition, the agents found a packing machine, humidifiers, heaters, vacuum bags, backpacks for concealment, as well as thirteen pallets with ceramic and cavities, with an estimated capacity for transporting substances that could reach 1,000 kilos of marijuana. In this way they managed to get the drug transported under vacuum, occupying the minimum space and preventing the odor from causing possible police control.
According to the quantities and the state of the drug, perfectly vacuum-packed and prepared for consumption, the researchers consider that the final destination of this marijuana was its transport and distribution to other European countries.
During the investigation, a total of eleven people were arrested in Linares (2), Vinaroz (5) and in the province of Tarragona (4). In the 9 records made in the province of Jaén (3), in locations of Castellón (4) and Tarragona (2) where, 35 kilograms of marijuana packed in vacuum in plastic bags, 1,425 euros in cash, one gun and its ammunition charger with thirteen armored cartridges and several vehicles.
