The Journalism Awards – divided into the modalities of written and digital press, television and radio – are directed to works that analyze the work carried out by the National Police for the sake of public safety, meeting criteria of quality and journalistic rigor, as well as at the level of diffusion reached

The Human Values ​​Award highlights those acts of agents that best highlight the vocation of service, sacrifice and assistance to citizens, as well as the actions of those persons who have collaborated with the National Police in actions of the same nature

04-June-2019.- The Spanish Police Foundation has convened a new edition of the Journalism Awards and the Human Values ​​Award whose deadline for submitting nominations will end on September 1. The Journalism Awards – divided into the modalities of written and digital press, television and radio – are directed to works that analyze the work carried out by the National Police for the sake of public safety, meeting criteria of quality and journalistic rigor, as well as at the level of diffusion reached. The Human Values ​​Award highlights those acts of agents that best highlight the vocation of service, sacrifice and assistance to citizens as well as those people who have collaborated with the National Police in actions of the same nature. Journalism Awards of the National Police

The Journalism Awards are organized and managed by the Spanish Police Foundation and its purpose is to recognize the works that best analyze the work done by the National Police for the safety of citizens, meeting quality criteria and journalistic rigor, as well as at the level of diffusion reached. The awards are divided into the categories of written and digital press, television and radio, each with 6,000 euros, a statue and a diploma accrediting the prize. Its ruling will be made public on the website of the Spanish Police Foundation and at www.policia.es.

May participate in these awards any individual or collective work, published in national, regional and local media, dealing with the National Police, its generic functions, training, organization or on any specific action that highlights unusual elements of the institution little known for the general public. The submitted works must have been published between September 1, 2018 and August 31, 2019, and may not participate in this contest works published in media directly or indirectly linked to Security Forces and Corps.

Those interested can send their work by email to info@fundacionpoliciaespañola.es, send them by certified mail or deliver them personally at the headquarters of the Spanish Police Foundation, 16 Conde de Aranda, 3rd left, 28001 Madrid. In addition, they can be delivered personally from Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The deadline for the presentation of the same will be on September 1, 2019 and the delivery of the awards will be made publicly during the events of celebration of the Day of the Police.

Prize for Human Values

The Prize for Human Values, also organized and managed by the Spanish Police Foundation, seeks to recognize the acts of the members of the National Police that best highlight the vocation of service, delivery and sacrifice of agents in their work of protection and assistance to citizens, whether or not they are on duty. An award that can also be chosen by any citizen who has carried out actions of the same nature, in collaboration with the National Police or to assist one of its members or in defense of public safety.

The actions for recognition must have occurred between August 31, 2018 and the deadline for submission, set on September 1, 2019. The prize is endowed with 6,000 euros, a statue and a diploma and its decision is will make public on the website of the Spanish Police Foundation and at www.policia.es. The awards will be given publicly, also, during the commemorative events of Police Day.
