The Spanish Police Foundation announces a new edition of the Journalism Awards and the Human Values ​​Award

June 12, 2020.- The Spanish Police Foundation has called for a new edition of the Journalism Awards and the Human Values ​​Award, the deadline for which will be nominations will end on September 1. The Journalism Awards – divided into the forms of written and digital press, television and radio – are aimed at works that analyze the work carried out by the National Police in the interest of citizen safety, based on quality criteria and journalistic rigor, as well as the level of diffusion reached. The Human Values ​​Award highlights those acts of agents that best highlight the vocation of service, sacrifice and assistance to citizens as well as those who have collaborated with the National Police in actions of the same nature. The bases of both awards can be found at www.policia.es.

National Police Journalism Awards

The Journalism Awards are organized and managed by the Spanish Police Foundation and their purpose is to recognize the works that best analyze the work carried out by the National Police for the safety of citizens, according to quality criteria and journalistic rigor, as well as at the level of diffusion reached. The awards are divided into the categories of written and digital press, television and radio, each endowed with 6,000 euros, a statuette and a diploma accrediting the award. Its ruling will be made public on the website of the Spanish Police Foundation and on www.policia.es.

The authors can participate in these awards, individual or collective works, published or broadcast in Spanish media of national, regional and local diffusion, dealing with the National Police, its generic functions, training, organization or on a specific case in which This Institution has participated and that highlights its singular elements, little known by the general public. Works published in media directly or indirectly linked to security forces and forces may not participate in this contest. The works presented must have been published between September 1, 2019 and August 31, 2020, both dates included.

Those interested may send their work, by email to info@fundacionpoliciaespañola.es, indicating in the subject "FPE Journalistic Awards 2020". The last date for the presentation of the candidate papers will be September 1, 2020.

Human Values ​​Award

The Human Values ​​Award, also organized and managed by the Spanish Police Foundation, seeks to recognize the actions of the members of the National Police that best highlight the vocation of service, dedication and sacrifice of officers in their work of protection and assistance to citizens, whether or not they are on duty. An award that any citizen who has carried out actions of the same nature, in collaboration with the National Police or to help one of its members or in defense of public security, can also choose.

The actions to be recognized must have occurred between August 31, 2019 until the filing deadline, set on September 1, 2010. The award is endowed with 6,000 euros, a statuette and an accrediting diploma and its decision is It will be published on the website of the Spanish Police Foundation and on www.policia.es. The applications will be sent to infor@fundacionpoliciaespañola.es, indicating in the subject “FPE 2020 Human Values ​​Award”.
