It has valued the contributions of the FEV to flexibilize and facilitate management in the Support program for the wine sector (PASVE) and thanked the monitoring that it is carrying out of the effects of the COVID-19 crisis in this sector, the conclusions of which are being very useful for the work carried out by the Ministry.
Planas has explained the progress in the processing of a royal decree to modify those that develop, at the national level, the Community regulations on the vineyard authorization regime and on the current Support Program for the wine sector.
The objective of this initiative is to make the national regulation more flexible so that the beneficiaries of these measures can adapt to the current situation, including the measures that the European Commission has included in its legislative package.
The impact of the closure of the Horeca canal on the wine sector has also been discussed at the meeting. They have also analyzed the measures of the de-escalation of the economy and the repercussion that the progressive opening of retail trade, as well as restaurants, may have on the recovery of the sector.
The minister explained that the European Commission could authorize certain measures requested by the sector, such as crisis distillation or private storage.
