The senator of the Popular Group for the Autonomous Community of Galicia, Jesus VazquezHe has presented several written questions to the Government about the release of Oriol Junqueras prison to teach at the University of Vic. Specifically, Vázquez is interested in the assessment of the Government about the use of the University "so that a convicted person for serious crimes get out of prison to teach in university classrooms ”.
The popular senator recalls that the ERC leader, Oriol Junqueras, has been released from prison (because he is sentenced by a final sentence and disabled by the Supreme Court) to begin teaching at the University of Vic, taking advantage of the planned semi-freedom regime in the legislation. Likewise, remember that the Board of Trustees of the Balmes Foundation, head of said University, is made up of representatives of a relevant number of public institutions, which provide public funding to it.
In this sense, Vázquez is interested in the opinion that the Government of Spain deserves that, a University, which draws on public funds, hires a condemned person to 13 years in prison and 13 of absolute disqualification for serious crimes and, if he understands that the hiring of a convicted person can contribute to the improvement of the public image of the Spanish University and to a better teaching in it.
Finally, the popular senator is interested in the percentage of the public contribution of the different administrations, over the total funds of the University of Vic.
