Vox Ceuta applauds that the president of the Autonomous City, Juan Vivas, has denounced this Thursday in the Senate the situation of extreme need that Ceuta is going through, that he has recognized that he is "besieged" by Morocco and that he has pointed to "the inaction of the Government ”as one of the reasons that has placed the city on the brink of the economic precipice. "It is essential that the voice of Ceuta and that of the Ceuta is heard, in their claims, by the Government of the Nation. A government that is not fulfilling its commitments to its citizens in Ceuta, ”Redondo regrets to add:“ This is a singular fact that President Vivas has wanted to remember in his speech today, which we applaud from Vox. And although we are skeptical in the response, we are glad that the requests that we have been making with so much effort from Vox for months, once again, have resonated in national institutions, in this case through the President of the City ” .
Through the Vox parliamentarians for Ceuta, a multitude of initiatives and questions have already been taken to the Congress and the Senate so that the Sánchez government fulfills its obligations to the Ceuta, to pay the 7.2 million euros of subsidies owed, reinforce security at the border, address the emergency situation created by the increase in unaccompanied Moroccan minors, or curb Morocco's claims on autonomous cities as well as on Spanish territorial waters. The Government has answered nothing and, as Vox has already done, this was also denounced this Thursday by Vivas during his intervention in the General Commission of the Autonomous Communities.
In the same vein that Vox Ceuta this week demanded the government delegate to take responsibility for immigrants housed in the pavilions of Santa Amelia and La Libertad, Vivas denounced the situation this Thursday before the Minister of Territorial Policy, Carolina Darias. Vox Ceuta has influenced at all times that it is the Government of the Nation and, therefore, its delegate in Ceuta, who holds immigration jurisdiction and that is why the State must assume this obligation and its financing, since up to now they are all the ceutíes those who are paying the 300,000 euros that it costs to keep immigrants in the pavilions.
As Vox Ceuta has also done from the beginning, Vivas defended in the Senate the need for an economic reconversion based on "more Spain and more Europe" with which to stop depending on the decisions made "across the border " A line of work that has the support of Vox Ceuta since it drinks from the ideas raised by the party since its inception and before which they have already made several proposals such as promoting the port, promoting the creation of companies or promoting the hiring of Ceuta unemployed instead of cross-border.
In addition, reinforcing border control to curb irregular immigration has been one of the proposals that Vox Ceuta has had the most impact on and which it once again claims since, as has been made clear in the Senate, the city is “besieged” and the irregular immigration of Moroccan adults and minors has been "suffocating" Ceuta for months. "Without a doubt, those of us who are part of Vox Ceuta will not cease in our efforts to remind this government that there are no first or second-class Spaniards and that the Ceuta people will continue to demand to be treated on equal terms with the rest of our peninsular compatriots , that we are taken care of properly and that under no circumstances is it marketed politically with the resources that by right correspond to us ", Redondo added.
