The president of Cs requires the PSOE to 'stop using Parliament as a socialist beach bar and block the laws of the opposition'

"If Sanchez fails and does not form a Government, we Spaniards have the obligation, the right and the opportunity to throw him out of the Government and to form a stable Executive that gives stability to the country," said the president of Citizens (Cs), Albert Rivera, who stressed that the liberal formation "has to be the party that leads the regeneration." “The‘ Sánchez ’plan has Citizens as the main adversary because there is nothing further from our ideology,” Rivera said.

The leader of Cs, during his speech at the meeting of the Parliamentary Group Citizens (GPCs) in Congress, recalled that all Spaniards "have been underway for six months except Sanchez, which has been in helicopter for six months." In this sense, Rivera has warned that "Spain cannot fail because Sánchez fails" since "Sánchez's failure cannot be Spain's failure."

On the other hand, the president of Cs has demanded that the PSOE and the president of the Congress, Meritxell Batet, "stop using Parliament as a socialist beach bar, blocking all the laws of the opposition." Thus, Rivera has denounced that Batet "wants to turn Congress into something similar to what Forcadell has done with the Parliament of Catalonia with the nationalists."

"Some want a blank check and dream of an absolute majority, which they have not managed to do whatever they want," Rivera said, who also recalled that Spain "is not a loot to distribute."
