The Council of Ministers approved on Friday, at the proposal of the Minister of Economy and Business, Nadia Calviño, the appointments of Roberto Sánchez Sánchez as General Director of Telecommunications and Information Technologies of the Secretary of State for the Information Society and the Digital Agenda, and Luis Martí Álvarez, as general director of Economic Policy.
Roberto Sánchez is a telecommunications engineer from the Polytechnic University of Madrid and a career officer of the Higher Body of Information Systems and Technologies of the General State Administration. To date, he has held the position of Director of Innovation and Promotion of the City in the Madrid City Council and has held responsibilities in various public bodies and in the private sector.
For his part, Luis Martí has a degree from the Complutense-CUNEF University in Economic and Business Sciences, and a commercial technician and economist from the State since 1996. Until his appointment, he served as Director of Digital Development at ICEX. Previously, he has held different positions in the Public Administration.
