The Cs spokeswoman in the Parliament regrets that Torra 'creates the center of the universe' and affirms that it is not possible 'to leave millions of Catalans helpless when it comes to working for health and employment
"In Catalonia there is no excess neither the King nor any representative of the judiciary, we are fed up with these humiliations." This has been said by the spokesperson for Ciudadanos (Cs) in the Parliament of Catalonia and in the Senate, Lorena Roldán, after the head of state has not attended the delivery of the dispatches for the new judges in Catalonia. Roldán has explained that "from Cs we are not going to consent to this humiliation" and has pointed out the government of Spain for having justified the absence by claiming that it could not guarantee the safety of the King in Catalonia.
For this reason, Roldán has announced that Cs has registered in the Congress of Deputies the request for the appearance of the Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, “so that he can show his face and explain who has made the decision that the King not come to delivery of dispatches ”. "It is clear that the Head of State represents the union of all Spaniards and was key to stopping the coup of 2017", he pointed out and added that for these reasons "the separatist parties are determined to attack him and that he does not come to Catalonia" . The spokeswoman has expressed "all the support of Cs to the King and the judges who work in harsh conditions in Catalonia due to the pressure of the separatists" and has pointed out that the president of the government, Pedro Sánchez, "has to choose between the path of the separatist parties or the way of Cs, which is that of solutions ”.
Roldán has also regretted that Torra "creates the center of the universe" and has affirmed, in the face of the institutional blockade announced by Torra before his possible disqualification, that it is not possible to "leave millions of Catalans helpless when we have to work for health and job". "We cannot allow the lock to be put on Parliament when in the context of the current pandemic we need to be able to legislate," he explained and pointed out that "the answer to the paralysis has to be to sit down, talk and seek unlocking in the face of Torra's threats and of the groups that support the Government ”.
