The leader of Cs in Catalonia announces that the orange party will take to the Parliament a series of measures to help those affected by floods
"The Government is more aware of what happens in Waterloo than being next to the Catalans." This has been said by the national spokeswoman for Citizens (Cs) and in the Parliament of Catalonia, Lorena Roldán, after visiting several of the towns affected in the province of Tarragona by the strong floods. Roldan has said that "the legislature has been exhausted for a long time" because we are facing "a failed government" and has regretted that the president of the Generalitat, Quim Torra, and his executive "do not promote laws or work for the real needs of the Catalans "
Roldan has pointed out that "Torra has no legitimacy to continue being president" after seeing "his shameful attitude thanking people who have sown chaos in Catalonia, even going with them to cut roads." He has asked him to “take a step to the side and give way to those who really want to work for the Catalans instead of the‘ procés ’” and has pointed out that “Torra is incompatible with living together”.
The orange spokeswoman has appealed to the government of Pedro Sánchez because "they can not continue doing as if nothing happened in Catalonia when there have been serious riots and attacks on police." "We ask Sánchez to protect the Catalans and ensure the coexistence and safety of the Catalans," added Roldán. He has also asked the acting president to “apply the constitution to cease Torra so that a new stage of coexistence in Catalonia can begin”.
On the other hand, the leader of Cs in Catalonia has announced that the orange formation will take to the Parliament of Catalonia a series of measures to help those affected by floods and improve prevention in the face of future storms. Roldan explained that they will urge the Catalan Agency of l'Aigua (ACA) "to take care of the maintenance of the streams and thus to minimize the damage if another temporary occurs again." He has also indicated that the Generalitat will be urged to give aid and compensation to those affected who have suffered material or personal damages. He concluded by thanking the work of the emergency services and noted that "the most urgent thing is to care for those affected and help restore normalcy in the affected municipalities."
