The leader of Cs in Catalonia celebrates the agreement to attend the elections in the Basque Country: 'There was a demand for a strong candidacy to defend equality before nationalism'

"The merchants complain about the decline in sales, attack journalists and are already 130 nights of cuts by separatist radicals, the situation is unsustainable before the passivity of the Government". This has been expressed by the leader of Citizens (Cs) in Catalonia and senator, Lorena Roldán after visiting several shops on the Meridiana Avenue in Barcelona, after which she has asked the Government "To act, to stop the radicals and to compensate economically for losses, since the associations of merchants themselves speak of a drop in turnover around 40%."

Asked about the agreement reached between Citizens and the Popular Party to attend together in the next regional elections in the Basque Country, Roldán has assured that "It is a day of celebration after this offer was made to go together in territories threatened by nationalists." The leader of Cs in Catalonia recalled that “They are exceptional circumstances that required exceptional solutions, there was a demand for a strong candidacy and so you can defend equality without losing a single constitutional vote against the threat of nationalists.”

Finally and with respect to the “Shame on seeing how separatists cut Meridiana Avenue every night before the passivity and even the permissiveness of the Government”, Roldán has announced that the orange formation will take to the Parliament an initiative to demand the Government "To act and use the instruments at your fingertips, ask for forgiveness and financially compensate merchants for these cuts." The leader of Cs in Catalonia has insisted that the orange party "He has denounced him, he does everything in his power and demands that those responsible for the incidents pay."
